The NUVO Clarinéo is a fully functioning clarinet in the key of C, ideal for young beginners aged 4 to 9. It is much lighter and smaller than a Bb clarinet, which means the distance between the fingers is shorter and the sound holes are easier to cover. The Clarinéo removes many of the physical challenges of the Bb clarinet, and encourages children to practice more, developing the skills and enthusiasm they will need when they are ready to step up to a higher level instrument. Since the fingering is the same, the transition to the Bb clarinet is quick and easy. Just like a traditional clarinet, the Clarinéo is fully chromatic over 3 octaves.
